Our Story
Sanctuary Café was created from a simple belief: everyone deserves a place where they feel welcome, supported, and connected.
Located inside the Kingston Road United Church (KRUC) at 975 Kingston Road in East Toronto, Sanctuary Café opened its doors on June 1, 2026, with a vision of becoming more than just a coffee shop. It is a community hub where neighbours gather over exceptional coffee, students receive affordable academic support, and people from all walks of life find a sense of belonging.
Our café proudly serves gourmet coffee from Pilot Coffee Roasters alongside fresh pastries from local bakery Circles & Squares, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for conversation, study, and connection.
Beyond the menu, Sanctuary is committed to making learning accessible through its peer-to-peer tutoring program, offering affordable support for students and families in the community.
